Operation Swimway Update – Caribbean

Operation Beagle

  • Current Operations

Operation Beagle supports the waterways and communities in the Galápagos Islands. Since the initial engagements in 2018 with the creation of a local library, and clean water access solutions provided for local schools, YAG has continued the support with the archipelago with the opening of a sailing school, and expansions for the library.

In 2018, YachtAid Global opened the first public Library in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, which included building renovations, standardized operations, a small computer lab, and a collection of 1500 books.

Located in San Cristóbal, one of the later islands in the Galapagos, Club Nautico San Cristobal engages local youth supplying them with missing programs teaching them to sail, navigate and be safe around the water.
