YachtAid Global runs “Operation Swimway”, a conservation program featuring investments into the equipment and science of ocean conservation while enabling interested owners, guests, and crew to work closely with distinguished members of the science community to accelerate the conservation of pelagic species.
These collaborative efforts are focused on the conservation of critical migration corridors for sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, whales and billfish along routes. These corridors, which have been significantly impacted by overfishing and bycatch, play a critical role in the migration of these species as they seek to reach new feeding grounds and protected pupping areas.
Operation Swimway provides an exciting educational experience for participants, much-needed support to the scientific community and affords the crew the pride of knowing they contributed to the preservation efforts of the seas they enjoy and the animals that live within.
