The eruption of the volcano La Soufrière, covered the entire island of St. Vincent with ash and volcanic debris destroying structures, homes, farms, food supplies, power service and access to fresh water.
100% of donations contributed to this fund will provide relief to the over 110, 000 residents impacted by the eruption in the form of emergency supplies like water filters, hygiene kits and medicine, as well as longer-term recovery assistance and support.
YachtAid Global is working with yachts in the region to coordinate support. We are also working closely with our NGO partner organizations that are deeply rooted in local communities and are in the best position to provide long-term support for survivors of natural disasters like this volcanic eruption. The people affected by this eruption will need help for years as they rebuild their lives, homes, and communities.
