Hurricane Dorian destroyed schools across Northern Bahamas in August of 2019. The Covid-19 pandemic significantly slowed recovery efforts with many children not yet returning to school. Schools are now trying to re-open but are facing significant shortages in teaching and learning supplies – from textbooks and workbooks to instruction aids, and critical hygiene supplies including sanitizers and masks.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the Bahamas post Dorian hurricane relief through Operation Topaz, YachtAid Global and the yachting community at large, are working to provide 11 schools across the Northern Bahamas with these needed school supplies.
100% of donations will be used to purchase and deliver the critical school supplies directly to the teachers and students at these schools of the Northern Bahamas.
