

YachtAid Global is fueled by a team of accomplished, compassionate, staff and volunteer professionals committed to facilitating the support and collaboration of the yachting industry worldwide, for disaster relief, humanitarian aid, and conservation initiatives across global coastal communities.
Captain Mark Drewelow founded YachtAid Global in 2006 to facilitate the engagement of the worldwide yachting community in caring for the peoples and environments of the coastal communities they visit, enjoy and depend upon. Having spent 20 years at sea, traveling over a quarter million miles on luxury yachts around the world, it was his memorable engagement with the locals that inspired him to create a way to give back. Mark provides the vision and overall leadership in strategy, planning and execution for YachtAid Global.
He also currently works as the founder and CEO of C2C which provides a broad spectrum of services and solutions to luxury yachts. Mark is considered an expert in solving Superyacht operational issues and has an in-depth knowledge of cruising patterns in the Eastern North Pacific waters, enabling him to effectively co-ordinate crew, yachts, and supplies on a global scale.
Captain Zoran Selakovic is a founding board member of YachtAid Global, and serves as a director providing programs, operations, and strategic planning direction.
Zoran has over 20 years of experience in building and scaling small to mid-sized companies, holding numerous senior leadership roles in strategy, technology, operations, and organizational development.
Growing up in Europe, Zoran spent his formative years in coastal communities of the Mediterranean, where he developed a strong passion for sailing, oceans, and people who call oceans their home. More recently he has been active in the sailing and cruising communities of the Caribbean, Central America, and West Coast of the United States.
Zoran’s love for oceans and coastal communities drives him to develop and lead the team of talented and passionate staff and volunteers who provide the drive and support to fulfill YachtAid Global’s mission.
Steve serves as a member of the YachtAid Global core team providing global public relations, communications, and marketing for the organization.
Growing up on the coast of British Columbia with family businesses in the aviation and marine world, Steve's passion for our oceans and wilderness started early.
As a professional photographer, videographer, and published writer, Steve brings over 25 years of marketing and operational experience to the team. Steve is proud to be engaging his skills and passions in support of YachtAid Global’s team, mission, and operations making a measurable difference in coastal communities worldwide.
Matt comes to YachtAid Global with a vast array of past experiences. He serves as the Global Outreach Coordinator and provides support to top leadership.
Before making a career shift, he served as Corporate Director of Health and Safety where he spent a decade working on complex military projects for the U.S. Federal Government.
In addition to working with YAG, he also loves his work with children at a local elementary school and saving lives as a California State Ocean Rescue Lifeguard.
After growing up on Cape Cod being in, on, and around the water and enjoying travel to 40+ countries, Matt’s work with YachtAid Global aligns with his passions. His interests in people, culture, humanitarianism, and aiding coastal communities are also components of the operations he works on, fulfilling his desire to give back and do good in this world!
Israel provides hands-on development and management of YachtAid Global’s operations in Mexico including Operation Quartz focused in the Oaxaca region.
Originally from Tampico, Tamaulipas Mexico, Israel relocated to Puerto Escondido Oaxaca where he fell in love with the ocean. After several years in the business arena, Israel changed careers to pursue his passion of serving others and joined the Lifeguard program in Puerto Escondido.
During his work as a lifeguard, Israel first interacted with YachtAid Global while helping implement a clean water access program for the community and tourists. After fifteen years of service as a lifeguard, Israel joined YachtAid Global as the Program Outreach Coordinator for Mexico, leading YachtAid Global’s work across his home country.

Ghislaine Bovy supports YachtAid Global as a volunteer contributing her time and talent to social media and content creation, helping to increase awareness of YachtAid Global. She shares her marketing communications background, knowledge gleaned from having completed a circumnavigation during 13 years on her sailing boat “Minuit” and expertise from working as marketing consultant for corporations such as GE, Xerox, and Agfa.
Ghislaine currently dedicates her time to ocean protection and humanitarian organizations. As a keen sailor, Ghislaine continues to crew boats at regattas in Southeast Asia while working as a volunteer for local organizations, such as Clean the Beach Boot Camp, and other initiatives, such as The Sea Cleaners, to contribute to the protection of oceans. Being a volunteer at YachtAid Global is an honor and she is thankful to be of help.
Ewa provides the YachtAid Global team with executive and administrative support. She brings over ten years of experience in management, administration. and customer service as well as a passion for the oceans, protecting te environment and helping others.
Ewa is originally from Poland, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Jagiellonian University. She came to the United States in 2003 to visit New York City, upon which she decided never to leave. Her journey eventually led her to her current home of San Diego in 2014 and her involvement with YachtAid Global.
Daniela's love of oceans and ocean communities started from the earliest age as she learned to sail and compete across the international circuit.
Recognized as an accomplished sailor, national champion, and valued sailing coach - Daniela provides both leadership, inspiration, and technical expertise across our sailing, swimming, and community-inspired projects. across the Galapagos.
Andres comes to YachtAid Global with a diverse cultural background and unique skill set gained across public service and nonprofit works.
Most recently, he has honed his creative and communications skills as the videographer and content creator for the public service agency. As a world traveler, avid surfer, and water photographer, Andres developed a strong love for the ocean and coastal communities - this love drives him in support of YachtAid Global’s Mission.
Andres is frequently deployed with the rest of the team as a professional photographer, videographer, and programs outreach coordinator to support YachtAid Global’s operations and programs worldwide.
Craig has been part of a boating family for all of his life and this has contributed to his love of the ocean and water sports from his earliest days. Craig also has a passion for volunteerism, working as a rescue volunteer with the local search and rescue team, and he has deployed to assist hurricane victims of Hurricane Michael and Hurricane Ida in the past, and Hurricane Ian more recently.
As a successful business owner for many years, Craig has been leading diverse groups of people towards a common set of goals and objectives on a regular basis, something he has brought to YachtAid Global as a member of the team.
Anthony, a native of Fiji, brings a wealth of experience to YachtAid Global with a long history of altruism both as a volunteer and a leader. His passion for oceans and for helping the people in the South Pacific includes leading a wide range of altruism and sustainability across more than 2,000 communities and hundreds of islands spreading from Fiji and Vanuatu to Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.
Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team with more than 30 years of program management, global logistics and collaboration with many foreign governments and NGO’s. His previous altruism efforts include helping start two non-profits in his home state of Oregon; an animal rescue organization and an organization of surgeons and medical professionals who perform hip and knee replacements to underserved communities in the Dominican Republic. Based in Baja California Sur, Mexico, Brian's passion for the ocean and coastal communities paired with his strong altruism work make him a highly valued team member.
Tadzio grew up in St. Martin in the Caribbean, where he fell in love with the awe and beauty of ocean and marine life. After completing his science and environmental degrees, the science & research work lead him to various roles in Bermuda, Africa, and back across the islands of the Caribbean, where he most recently served as Marine Park Manager in St. Eustatius, Director for the St Maarten Nature Foundation, Director of the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance, and a co-founder of the Caribbean Shark Coalition. As an avid sailor and scuba diver, he is very passionate for working with cruising yachts and crew across global cruising regions to carry out science and research expedition for the protection of ocean, pelagic species and marine life migration corridors.
